27. IIMs Fee: Impact of IIM Act 2017 or otherwise?
After getting full autonomy with the passing of IIM Act 2017 by the Parliament, IIMs have gained higher autonomy and are now awarding MBA degree instead of Post Graduate Diploma. The IIMs are not regulated by AICTE and therefore decide their fees in accordance with their requirement and also allowing for the adjustment of inflationary trends.
